The Irvin D. Reid Honors College provides a community of

The Irvin D. Reid Honors College is city-based and service-oriented; we promote excellence and
challenge our students to engage the world around them as problem-solvers and leaders. Our
curriculum requires that students inform themselves about what it means to be citizens, of this
city, this country, the world; we give our students tools, tools to be catalysts for innovation and
improvement, and the skills necessary to create powerful solutions.
Students may be particularly interested in our four specialized preprofessional programs:
- MedStart, an 8-year B.S/M.D. program
- B Start, a B.B.A/M.B.A. program
- HealthPro Start, for students interested in
pharmacy and health sciences
- Engineering GradStart, for students who will pursuing undergraduate
and graduate degrees in engineering
National Merit Finalists and Scholars are eligible to apply for the distinguished
University Scholarship which includes four years of full tuition, housing and meal plan support, a
laptop computer, $2,500 study abroad fee wavier, and a $750 book allowance per semester. Please
